The Midwest Chassis k-member allows you to pick & choose options and is custom built to your application. Weighing only 23lbs (mild steel, LS stands) it will help drop weight off the front end, and allow for easier access to the engine as well as pipe routing for turbo applications. The standard MWC K-member with LS/LT stands will accept a 5” downpipe on the passenger side. The driver side will accept a 3.5” downpipe when using the factory power steering rack, or a 4” downpipe if converted to a manual rack. The turbo version is designed for cars that are running factory air conditioning to allow a 4” downpipe on the driver side. K-members are built standard with mild steel, but we offer the option to upgrade to chromoly (please read here first, and email orders@midwestchassis.com for current lead times and ordering). Due to the more brittle nature of chromoly we do not suggest them for street use.
Note: Energy Suspension motor mount inserts require the use of the factory clamshells which are not included.
Note: Motor stand option for 93-97 LT differ from factory and a different style motor mount must be used on the passenger side. We include this mount with all 93-97 LT K-members and the mount includes the factory clamshell. When upgrading to Energy Suspension inserts on 93-97 LT we send the driver & passenger inserts as well as the clamshell for the passenger side.
