- K-member and A-Arm Hardware
Lighten up the front of your 93-02 F-Body with the Midwest Chassis Stage 1 Front Kit. We use factory mounting locations and geometry on our front suspension parts to ensure a clean and easy install.
K-Member: The standard MWC K-member with LS/LT stands will accept a 5” downpipe on the passenger side. The driver side will accept a 3.5” downpipe when using the factory power rack (or 4” downpipe if converted to manual rack). The turbo version is designed for cars that are running factory air conditioning to allow a 4” downpipe on the driver side. K-members are built standard with mild steel, but we offer the option to upgrade to chromoly (please call to order). Due to the more brittle nature of chromoly we do not suggest them for street use.
Lower A-Arms: We offer 3 styles of lower a-arms to meet your suspension needs. The one-piece arm is a factory replacement style with the shock mounting option of either a bearing or factory t-bar. The two-piece arm is geared more towards performance, but still uses the factory spindle. If the two-piece arm is selected, the k-member is built with hole mounts (vs the factory style slots) to help keep precise alignment. Please note that the two-piece arm requires use of a wheel 6” wide or less.
Manual Rack Kit: If you’re looking to switch from power to manual steering this kit has everything needed for the conversion. When ordered at the time of k-member purchase, the k-member is built for the manual rack mounting to eliminate the additional weight of needing conversion brackets. Installation of the MWC bumpsteer kit is a breeze with the feature of tapered spindle adaptors that do not require drilling a large 5/8 hole like others on the market. Simply ream the top half of the tie rod end hole with a 1/2” drill. No welding and no modifications to the steering rack are needed. The manual rack kit includes: rack, steering shaft, and bumpsteer kit
NOTE: Stage kits are non-stocking items – due to the amount of customization these kits are built to order
NOTE: If using t-bar mount KYB shocks, you will need to clearance the t-bar mount bracket on the one piece lower arms.
