MIDWEST CHASSIS 93-02 F-BODY MANUAL RACK PACKAGE
Sold as a complete kit to remove the heavy and power robbing factory power assist steering. Includes a Pinto-Style steering rack, lightweight rack adapter (if chosen as an option), steering shaft with high quality sealed needle bearing joints(not cheap block-and-pin type like the other guys use), tapered spindle adapter, coated tie rod adjuster sleeves, aircraft quality rod ends, and all necessary hardware.
Installation of the bumpsteer kit is a breeze with the feature of a tapered spindle adapter that does not require drilling a huge 5/8 hole in the steering arm. Simply ream the top half of the tie rod end hole with a 1/2 drill and bolt it all together. No modifications to the steering rack are needed.
PLEASE NOTE: If tube k-member option is selected the steering shaft will not be assembled/welded due to the amount of variations in other manufacturers k-member geometry.
If you have a lightweight tubular steering column you will need to select the builder kit lower steering shaft option so you can place the joints as needed for your headers.
NOTE: YOU MUST DRILL THE SPINDLE OUT TO 1/2" TO ACCEPT THE 1/2" BOLT SUPPLIED W/ THE BUMPSTEER KIT.
