Viking Crusader series shocks and struts feature an interchangeable needle and seat design so you can change the internal rebound valving to fit your specific needs. The rebound valving can be changed with basic tools and without the need to completely disassemble the shock.
1 valving set includes 2 needles, 2 seats, 2 check balls, 2 springs - this will re-valve 2 shocks/struts
With the shock or strut in a vice on its side in the fully extended position, the rebound knob can be taken off, and the needle and seat combination can be changed out. There are no special tools required, and the process is similar to jetting a carburetor. Please note it's critical that everything be kept extremely clean during the process of re-valving the shock, as there are very small orifices that must be kept free of debris.
