The Strange S60 is a solid performer with a proven track record for strength and dependability without breaking the bank. The PRSF05 package features 35 spline axles and a S-Trac helical gear style posi unit. All S60's are fully assembled and shipped via truck freight.
REAR END WIDTHS: Due to caliper clearance at the panhard bracket, 82-92 cars using factory rear disc brakes can only be narrowed 1" per side. For the same reason, 93-97 cars using factory rear disc brakes can only be narrowed 1" per side. 82-92 and 93-97 cars that have switched to frontside mounted rear calipers (98-02 style), or most aftermarket race style brakes with frontside mounted rear calipers, can be narrowed up to 3" per side. 98-02 cars with factory disc brakes can be narrowed up to 3" per side.
WHEEL STUDS: Base package includes 1/2-20 x 2" wheel studs. If ordering 1/2" studs, you can add an additional 5/8 bolt patten in case larger studs are needed in the future. This saves you from needing to send axles back to Strange to be redrilled for 5/8". Otherwise you can upgrade to a single 5/8" bolt pattern with 5/8" studs. It is important to note what brakes and wheels will be used on the S60 so that proper length studs are installed.
NOTES:
- Stock driveshaft will need to be replaced
- Some torque arms may require modification to fit - MWC offers a S60 specific bracket with our short torque arm and long torque arm for an easy install with no modification required.
- If stock brakes are being used, backing plates must be sent in for the S60 to be assembled.
- Be sure to note what brakes and wheels will be used on the S60 so that proper length wheel studs are installed.
- 93-97 Caliper mount option is only when using factory 93-97 disc brakes. Will not work on 82-92 factory brakes, 98-02 factory brakes, or aftermarket brakes. Purchase of these caliper mounts will eliminate the need to send in a set of factory backing plates for rear end assembly.
